Gov. Cuomo: State is looking to buy unused milk from NY dairy farms

News

(WIVB) – Gov. Andrew Cuomo wants to help upstate dairy farms affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Sunday, Cuomo said that the state is looking into buying milk that is otherwise being flushed down the drain.

City schools being closed has drastically affected the demand. Cuomo is working with the Department of Agriculture to see if that milk can go to food banks instead.
