High water isn’t stopping people from going to the beach

(WIVB) — Many people are heading to the beach to celebrate the Fourth of July.

Fair Haven Beach along Lake Ontario is a popular spot for people in the Syracuse area.

The high waters and flooding have washed away some of the shore, but that’s not stopping people from getting some sun.

A no-wake zone remains in place. That means no tubing, water-skiing or fast rides unless you’re away from the shore.
