The future of the Huntley Plant in Tonawanda has become clearer.

Town Supervisor Joseph Emminger says he was told by the NRG Energy property owner that they received a signed letter of intent from an unnamed buyer.

NRG shut the plant down in 2016 and officially listed it for sale a year ago.

Emminger says no word has been given on what the company would do with the site.
