Lake Ontario Levels are continuing to drop

(WIVB)- Lake Ontario levels are continuing to drop according to the International Joint Commission which regulates those levels.

Lake levels hit a record high this spring which caused major flooding to the shoreline area. The commission says it increased outflows for about 69 days to help bring the water level down.

The board says it recognizes the need to address the persistent elevated levels on lake Ontario.
