Air Force Captain shares her inspirational message in the Queen City

Local News

An Air Force Captain, who helped to rescue a youth soccer team, trapped in a Thailand cave, is spreading an inspirational message in the City of Buffalo.

Captain Jessica Tait was the distinguished commencement speaker at D’youville College yesterday.

After speaking to graduating seniors at D’youville yesterday, Captain Tait came here, to the WNY Maritime Charter School, to continue spreading her message.

Maritime is a charter school that uses a military backbone to teach and in front of several dozen students here, Captain Jessica Tait talked to the young cadets about their options after graduation.

But she also told her compelling story from this harrowing moment in Thailand.

Captain Tait’s unit was asked to come help the government of Thailand last June.

12 boys and their coach entered this sprawling cave but were trapped by rising flooding once inside.

As the rescue captured the attention of the world, She became the official U.S. spokesperson for the media.
