ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 17-year-old from Orleans County was killed in a car crash in Albion early Tuesday morning.

New York State police say the crash occurred on Eagle Harbor Rd. around 12:15 a.m.

There, the car left the east shoulder, went into a ditch, became airborne and struck a utility pole with the roof.

Brennan Moody, 17, of Kent was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, age 18, and the front passenger were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment, and the other 17-year-old in the rear was taken to ECMC for serious injuries. Their names have not been released.

Police believe high speed was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Moody was a senior at Albion High School. The school will be providing grief sharing information for students and families.
