Amherst Police requesting no non-essential travel due to power outages

The Town of Amherst’s travel advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. on Monday, February 25, due to high winds and traffic hazards, according to a news release.

Supervisor Brian Kulpa is advising against any unnecessary travel while the advisory is in effect.

The Town of Amherst said the following closings are in effect for Monday, February 25:

All Amherst senior programs will be closed until 12 p.m.; the Senior Services building will be open

All Amherst Youth and Recreation department and programs will be closed until 12 p.m.

Northtown Center will be closed until 12 p.m.

All Amherst libraries will be closed until 12 p.m.
