Another wintry blast hits WNY, making for slick commute

Tom Taylor spent the morning not only clearing snow from his driveway, but also the sidewalk in his Tonawanda neighborhood.

“I go down pretty far and they appreciate it you know, they’re waving in the window,” said Tom Taylor of the town of Tonawanda.

Snowblowers in action throughout Kenmore, Buffalo and much of Western New York is a common sight on this snowy Wednesday.

“All of this street and then Wilbur which is the cut through, and then all the way down towards Kenmore Mercy there,” said Bernie Ciulkowski of Kenmore.

Crews hit the roads early trying to plow and clear the snow in time for the morning commute.

“We’re seeing a lot of people going off the roads and crashing into other vehicles because of the slick conditions so drivers really need to slow down,” said Elizabeth Carey, AAA Director of Public Relations.

“They’re just a little slick, you gotta take it easy that’s all,” said Ciulkowski.

It’s not the first time Tom Taylor has spent the morning digging out and, “It won’t be the last you got that right,” said Taylor.
