April marks Child Abuse Prevention Month

(WIVB) — April marks Child Abuse Prevention Month.

A Western New York group says people need to be aware of the increased risk for abuse at home because of the pandemic.

The child advocacy center at BestSelf says cases of child abuse may go unreported, as at-risk children continue at least part-time remote learning.

The CAC is also encouraging people to wear blue as a reminder about this ongoing issue.
