A Batavia man pleaded guilty to intent to view child pornography according to U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy.

55-year-old Robert Ray Richmond was observed by staff at a public library in Batavia using one of the computers to access the internet and view child porn back in January of 2017.

Officials say law enforcement seized the computer after Richmond left the library and a forensic exam revealed seven images on the computer that met the definition of child pornography.

He faces a maximum of ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Richmond is scheduled to be sentenced on August 27 at 2 p.m.
