Belfast school teacher accused of having relationship with student

State Police announced the arrest of 25-year-old Hornell man Christopher Enlow for endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities responded to Belfast Central School on May 5 to investigate the possibility of a relationship between Enlow, who teaches at the school and a 15-year-old victim.

Investigation revealed texts establishing an intimate relationship were found. 

Enlow was arraigned in Town of Belfast Court. 

Police ask anyone with further information on Enlow to contact police at 585-344-6200. 

The Superintendent for Belfast Central School released a statement regarding the arrest: 

Please be advised, the District no longer employs Mr. Enlow.  The Board of Education accepted his resignation at a special meeting this evening (May 10, 2019).  Be assured, the District has cooperated and will continue to cooperate with authorities, and is committed to the well-being of all students.”
