The Better Business Bureau released a report Tuesday targeting the sale of counterfeit goods nationwide.
BBB officials joined federal authorities in an effort to show just how widespread the sale of fake merchandise has become.
According to the report, one out of every four Americans has either unwittingly or deliberately bought goods that were fake.
Items seized from the Niagara Frontier include fake New Era caps. Company officials say counterfeit goods cost them millions of dollars each year.
The BBB report takes special aim at internet sales of counterfeit goods, which officials say have reached nearly $2 billion worldwide.
