Bikesharing program returns to Buffalo for warm-weather months

Reddy Bikeshare returned to the City of Buffalo for its fourth season on Monday, March 25, 2019.

There will be 200 “smart” bicycles scattered throughout Downtown Buffalo.

They have GPS capabilities and are found at more than 40 stations throughout the city. Reddy bikes can be picked up from one of those stations and returned to any designated location.

They are available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week until November 2019.

We’ve got bikes as far north as Hertel Avenue and also bikes at University at Buffalo. We’ve got bikes here on campus at Buffalo State. We’ve got bike stations as far south as Riverworks and stations on the east and west side as well, said Jennifer White, Reddy Bikeshare’s Communication Executive.

This year, there will be a $3 daily pass. There will also be an annual pass available for half-off until April 15, 2019. The pass is normally $55, but can be temporarily purchased for $27.50.
