Buffalo man indicted in road rage incident

Local News

28-year-old Rakeem Scott of Buffalo has been indicted on second-degree assault, according to Erie County District Attorney John Flynn.

Scott allegedly stopped his vehicle at an intersection of Walden Avenue, approached another driver, dragged the driver out of the car, and punched them in the face multiple times before leaving the scene.

Initially, charges were filed against Rakeem’s brother, 31-year-old Maurice Scott.
He was not indicted after further investigation into the case by the DA’s Office.

Charges against Maurice, who was released on bail, were dismissed when he returned to Cheektowaga Town Court on Tuesday.

Rakeem is being held on $50,000 bail. No return date is scheduled at this time.

If convicted he faces a maximum of seven years in prison.
