Buffalo man pleads guilty to vehicular assault after causing head-on crash

30-year-old Rodney Borden, Jr. of Buffalo has pleaded guilty to vehicular assault, according to Erie County DA John Flynn.

Borden, Jr. was driving the wrong way on the inbound to the Kensington Expressway/Route 33 near Locust Street when he caused a head-on crash with another vehicle in October 2018. 

The woman driving the other vehicle was taken to ECMC and continues to recover from serious injuries she suffered in the crash.

Borden is scheduled to be sentenced on August 27 where he will face a maximum of seven years in prison.
