BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — UPDATE: Buffalo Police have identified the suspect in the Ashley Street shooting as 25-year-old Matthew Hayes. Hayes has been charged with assault.
Police say the 23-year-old man is listed in stable condition at ECMC.
ORIGINAL: Buffalo police are investigating an early morning shooting.
Officers responded to Ashley St. near Broadway shortly after Midnight.
Police say someone shot a 23-year-old man. He was rushed to ECMC, and it is believed that he will survive.
One person, who was only identified as a 25-year-old man, was charged with assault.
