BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — After decades in business The Buffalo Gun Center is closing its doors.
Hundreds of people stood in a line that wrapped well beyond corner of 3385 Harlem Rd. in Cheektowaga, Thursday morning. The line stretched out the door and down the block.
“I’ve been in line since 8 this morning, the lines formed around then. There were cars here around 7 this morning waiting for the sale,” said NAME
“They’re going out of business, unfortunately, and there are some sale items that I would like to purchase,” said NAME
The business sells guns, knives, ammunition, clothing, accessories and licenses.
“A lot of people think, we’re all just trying to stockpile, or something. It’s not like that. We’re just exercising the right that we’re allowed to have it’s that simple,” said Mark Leary of Hambrug.
The store is closing because the owner is retiring. The business started back in 1940s it moved to its current location in the 1970s.
