Community leaders, parents to discuss alternatives to suspension in Buffalo schools

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Community leaders and parents are hosting a meeting Thursday to discuss suspensions in Buffalo schools.

The group is pushing to replace out of school suspensions in the school district.

They argue suspensions do not change behavior, and are looking to find other methods of punishment.

The meeting will take place at 683 Northland Ave. at 5:30 p.m.
