Crews rescue man, dog from water at Broderick Park

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown captured photos of a man and a dog being rescued from the water in Broderick Park.

Officials say the rescue happened Sunday at 6:20 p.m.

Buffalo Police, Fire, and other first responders were called for the report of a kayak tipping over.

The people in the kayak were able to get to safety and authorities were able to rescue the dog and pull him to safety just before 6:30 p.m.
