BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 77-year-old man was killed in a multi-car accident at Seneca Street near Elk Street just before 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, police said.

Investigators say a Chevrolet Corvette was traveling westbound on Seneca when the man lost control and struck another vehicle. The driver was ejected and the car burst into flames. He was declared dead at the scene.

A female passenger was not injured as witnesses pulled her from the car. The condition of the other driver is unknown.

The accident is still under investigation, police are investigating if speed played a factor.
