UPDATE: Fire on Concord Street that sent woman to ECMC with multiple burns ruled an arson

UPDATE: (4:40 p.m. Sept. 30) – The fire on Concord Street has been ruled an arson, Buffalo Fire said Wednesday afternoon.

The incident remains under investigation.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 65-year-old woman was rescued and taken to ECMC after suffering multiple burns in a fire on Concord St.

Shortly before 3 a.m., Buffalo fire crews went to the scene between Broadway and Fillmore St. One of the firefighters was injured and treated at ECMC.

It’s not clear what started the fire, but officials say it caused $70,000 in damage.
