New York State reimburses three WNY police departments for officer-worn cameras


BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A big investment into body cameras for police officers in Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Amherst is getting picked up by the state.

Attorney General Letitia James announced $238,000 in funding to go back to the departments for purchasing the cameras.

All told, the investment equipped some 450 officers in the three departments with cameras.
