Two firefighters injured at vacant structure fire, both expected to recover


BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two Buffalo city firefighters were taken to the hospital after a fire around 8 a.m. Saturday on Lombard Street.

According to a city spokesperson, fire investigators said the fire started on an upper floor of the vacant structure.

The firefighters’ injuries were categorized as not life-threatening.

Damage was estimated at $15,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
