There’s lots going on here at Charlie’s Boat Yard on the outer harbor, work crews are putting the finishing touches on a new two story restaurant.
Taking a look inside the new eatery, there’s lots of sunlight coming through the large windows on the second floor.
But, that’s just the beginning, there’s a new bar, kitchen and a revamped menu — including seafood and a new steak sandwich.
“What we plan on doing, is having a banquet facility for approximately 90 people, taking advantage of the beautiful view up here,” said Charles Goodspeed one of the restaurant owners.
Goodspeed, says their construction company Transit Construction, has been working non-stop on the expansion project all winter.
The restaurant was formerly Dug’s Dive and became Charlie’s Boat Yard about four years ago.
Goodspeed has has been a part of the restaurant business for several decades. He recently stepped back from ownership at the Brick Oven Bistro in South Buffalo.
Goodspeed says they plant to have a ribbon cutting later in May.
