David Bellavia was humbled when speaking about the honor of becoming the first living Iraq War veteran to receive the Medal of Honor.
The Western New York native spoke about the servicemen he was alongside, and his plans to bring them and their families to the White House.
"We literally live minute to minute in a firefight, and anything can change, and I think of the men I served with," Bellavia said on Tuesday.
Back in 2004, while serving as squad leader, then-SSgt. Bellavia saved an entire squad.
