WESTFIELD, N.Y. (WIVB) -- On Thursday, an unconventional player joined a girls' softball game in Westfield.
Ann Higgs shared a few photos from the game, where a deer made its way to the field.
Higgs' daughter, Kristin, plays for the Westfield team, which was competing against a team from Hanover.
"A deer came to play softball with the girls in Westfield," Higgs told News 4.
Although the animal appeared to try to steal second base, it instead stole the show.
