BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Democratic candidate for New York's 27th district, Nate McMurray, addressed the media following Rep. Chris Collins' announcement that he would suspend his campaign.
McMurray spoke to supporters at the Erie Canal Heritage Trail in Lockport on Saturday afternoon.
The Grand Island Town Supervisor said he was relieved of Collins decision to stop campaigning, "it's good news for Western New York."
McMurray repeatedly attacked Republican party bosses and what he called "the broken system" in his speech on Saturday.
At this time, Rep. Chris Collins is still on the ballot. It remains to be seen if and how he will be removed from the ballot.
