Duff’s wins approval for Elmwood Village location

Local News

Duff’s won approval to move into the Elmwood Village from the Common Council’s Legislation Committee following a thumbs up from the city’s planning board.

It will take over the former Casa Di Pizza location.

During the Council’s public hearing, a councilmember pointed out Duff’s Famous Wings has built its reputation on great wings but their locations have been in the suburbs.

Now, the restaurant that’s been sought out by presidents is finally setting up shop in the city.

Joe Duff tells News 4 it’s a move the family has been anticipating for a while now.

“I think right now it is the right time. We found a great location and I hope that Duff’s can be a cornerstone business to the revitalization of that part of Elmwood that will eventually take place in the next couple of years,” Duff said.

While they have more hoops to jump through, Suff’s is looking to cut the ribbon at Elmwood and Hodge sometime next year.

Just a few blocks up Inzio, owned and operated by Buffalo native Mike Gibney was also approved by the planning board and Legislation.

Inzio replaces Joe’s Deli and is already well on their way hopefully opening by June.
