NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — Crews responded Wednesday afternoon to a vehicle on fire on the I-290.

Fire officials rushed to the third exit of the I-290 at Niagara Falls Boulevard where a dump truck caught fire at just about 4 p.m. Crews worked for about an hour to contain the fire and clean up the scene before reopening the right lane of the I-290.

It’s not yet known what caused the fire, or the condition of the driver.

News 4 viewers sent in one shot of the flaming truck, but NITTEC cameras also captured the fire.
