An East Aurora tattoo artist recently made having a cast a fun experience for a young boy.
Tracy Crewson said her six-year-old son William was originally embarrassed to wear the cast he has to wear for a broken elbow.
“He was trying to break it off,” Crewson said.
The family goes to Andrews Barber Parlor- which houses tattoo shop EA ink in the back.
Tattoo artist Joe Gerardi offered to give William’s cast some “ink”.
“They set him up an appointment for the next day and gave him a card and let him know he had to be good and leave the cast on and he could get a tattoo,” Crewson said,
Gerardi inked the image of a ninja on William’s cast, sleeve-style.
“I just used permanent marker,” Gerardi said.
Gerardi said that as a kid, he drew on his own cast.
Crewson said that William couldn’t wait to show off his new “tattoo” at school.
