Amherst elementary school students learn to bake bread for a cause


AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB)–Fourth graders in Amherst learned how to bake bread.

It’s part of a national program called “Bake for Good Kids” which runs through the King Arthur Flour company.

The students from Smallwood Drive Elementary School made about 80 loaves of bread from scratch.

The baked goods are being donated to the Buffalo City Mission.

One teacher tells News 4 it’s all about building character.
