ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVB)–Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says a false rumor regarding coronavirus testing is going around.

On Twitter, Poloncarz says ECMC completing COVID-19 testing and having multiple positive results is false.

He says ECMC isn’t even testing for coronavirus.

“Only the Erie County Department of Health’s Public Health can test for COVID-19. It has identified only one positive, the Monroe County case,” the Erie County Executive tweeted.

There is a FALSE rumor going around that ECMC has completed Covid-19 testing and has multiple positive results. It is so FALSE because ECMC isn't even testing for it.
