Former Erie County Sheriff’s deputy sentenced for illegally possessing a gun

ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVB)–A former Erie County Sheriff’s deputy will serve time in prison for illegally possessing a gun.

A judge sentenced Michael Blajszczak to one year in prison.

Prosecutors say he was in possession of the gun in May of 2019, less than a week after a judge issued a restrainer order against him for domestic violence in Cheektowaga.
