Crews working to clean up and refill Como Lake in Lancaster

Erie County excavating crews are hard at work on Como lake in Lancaster.

The lake level has been lowered and over the next six weeks, the lake is being dredged to remove tons of mud and silt that’s built up over the past 50 years.

The project will cost Erie County about $400,000.

It’s expected to be refilled by the end of September.
