Several Erie County Supervisors say federal government needs to provide pandemic relief for local governments

Erie County

Supervisors of three different towns in Erie County agree the federal government needs to provide relief for local governments during the pandemic.

The supervisors of Evans, Grand Island, and the Town of Lancaster took part in this online meeting today to make their case for a stimulus package from Washington.

Some Democrats in Congress, and Governor Andrew Cuomo, have also said that this sort of funding is necessary but it faces stiff opposition from Republican leadership in the Senate.
