10 people need a place to stay following a house fire in Buffalo.

It happened early Friday morning on Sumner Pl.

Fire investigators tell News 4 the fire started on the second floor before spreading to the attic.

Those living inside won’t be able to get back in anytime soon.

“No fire damage on the first floor, just water damage,” Buffalo Fire Division Chief Peter Kertzie said. “We had to kill the power. We had to kill the gas. So, they’re not going back in. We’re going to have the Red Cross assist them.”

The fire caused about $70,000 in damage.

Investigators will be busy Friday searching for the cause.
