Firefighters respond to two-alarm fire in Amherst

Firefighters were on the scene of a two-alarm house fire in Amherst tonight.  

It happened on Meyer Road near the 290. 

Fire officials say no one was home during the fire.

They said a dog was in the house and was rescued from the flames. 

The chief estimates there was $100,000 dollars worth of damage done to the home.
