Jury finds Buffalo man guilty of attempted murder, assault for 2018 attack on girlfriend

A jury has found a Buffalo man guilty of attempted murder and assault for an assault on his girlfriend. 

Alonzo Ross, 49, faces up to 25 years to life in state prison when he is sentenced July 15. 

According to the Erie County DA’s Office, Ross beat his girlfriend on the head, face, and body in May of 2018 with the intent to cause her death.

He remains remanded without bail.
