County Legislator Barabara Miller-Williams has been appointed interim Buffalo City Comptroller according to Erie County Democratic Chairman Jeremy Zellner.
Miller-Williams is filling the spot left open by Mark Schroeder who became the state’s Commissioner of Motor Vehicles at the start of the year.
“As Interim Comptroller, I will continue my decades-long commitment to the City of Buffalo and all of its residents. With the right smart-growth, long-term financial planning, Buffalo’s best days lie ahead, and I look forward to using my skills and proven leadership to continue our City’s resurgence into the future,” Miller-Williams said.
Zellner says the party will move quickly to fill her now vacant County Legislature spot.
Committee members will meet next Monday night to vote on a successor.
