Erie County Sheriff’s crews have located a lost woman in Hunters Creek County Park in Wales.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office says the initial call for the missing hiker came in just after 1 p.m.
The Sheriff’s Office dispatched six deputies, including a K9 unit certified in tracking. The hiker was found by a K-9 team of Deputy Sirianni and Cero.
The hiker will be checked out by EMS, but appears unharmed, Erie County Sheriff’s Office tweets confirmed.
New York State Police, state park officials, county park rangers, Wales Center Fire Company, East Aurora Fire, Holland Fire Company, South Wales Fire Company, and Strykersville Fire Company aided in the search.
