BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Amherst man is facing charges after allegedly crashing his SUV into a popular Allentown restaurant while under the influence of heroin.

Police charged 27-year-old Amherst native Ryan Hudson with DUI, reckless driving and criminal possession of a controlled substance after his blue Jeep Grand Cherokee collided with Cantina Loco Tuesday afternoon.

Officials who responded to the scene say they treated Hudson for a drug overdose. Medical personnel utilized Narcan to revive Hudson before sending him to the Erie County Medical Center.

A cleanup effort continued into the evening. Cantina Loco staff say they reopened their patio soon after; the dining room reopened later in the evening.

No restaurant patrons were injured as a result of the crash.
