A man was rescued from Lake Erie on Monday afternoon.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was called to help at the scene near Silver Creek around 1:30 p.m.
On the water, deputies found a 45-year-old man whose kayak had overturned.
Deputies brought the man onto their vessel and safely got him to shore without injury.
The man had all of his required safety equipment, including a personal floatation device. Deputies say this helped in the rescue procedure.
