Nate McMurray is demanding a recount in New York’s 27th congressional district election.
“After examining the numbers, the margin is 1% and the will of the voters must be heard. We are demanding a recount. Mr. Collins is going to need another set of lawyers,” McMurray said in a statement.
Republican incumbent Chris Collins’s campaign responded to McMurray’s demand by saying “Congressman Collins is looking forward to serving NY-27 as he always has.”
McMurray conceded defeat to Collins on Tuesday night. Collins later claimed victory.
