After months of revelations of abuse, civic leaders are demanding answers and demanding change to help the Catholic Church move forward
A distinguished panel met at Canisius College Wednesday night to help restore trust back into the Catholic faith.
Many people feel the path forward in the Buffalo Diocese is through the Catholic laity.
Members of the public were invited to attend and ask questions and open up a dialogue about what has been done and must now be done to protect the vulnerable, hold leaders accountable and begin reform.
The Movement to Restore Trust also announced a follow-up workshop at Canisius to be held Saturday, Dec. 8 at 9 a.m. – noon in Science Hall. Attendees will be asked to participate in opening sessions involving specific concerns arising out of the sex abuse scandal and to form work groups to develop concrete proposals for reform.
