New nursing home visitation rules in effect statewide

(WIVB) – Starting today, nursing home residents statewide will be allowed to have visitors- as long as their facility has been COVID-19 free for two weeks.

Before this, nursing homes were required to be COVID-free for 28 days before letting visitors in.

The New York State Department of Health created the new guidelines.
