3 new cases of COVID-19 found in Niagara County

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Wednesday, September 9

Niagara County is reporting three new positive COVID cases on Wednesday.

This brings the county total to 1,652 confirmed cases.

As of now, 45 cases remain active, with 44 isolating at home and one in the hospital.

Officials say deaths from the virus remain at 101, 1,506 individuals have recovered and 78,597 have been tested.

The Niagara County Department of Health says 21 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified since Friday morning, bringing the total to 1,649.

As of now, 50 cases are still active, with two people currently receiving hospital care.

1,498 people have recovered, while 101 others have died.

More than 78,000 tests have been administered in the county.
