LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Eight new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Niagara County. This brings the total to 1,723 positive cases.

As of Wednesday, only 45 of these cases are still active.

Since the pandemic started, 1,577 county residents have recovered, while 101 others have died.

Nearly 88,000 people have been tested.
