Another 8 cases of COVID-19 identified in Niagara County

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Thursday, September 17

Niagara County health officials tell News 4 there are eight new positive cases of COVID on Thursday.

This brings the total number of positive cases to 1,687, and 47 of those cases are active.

Of the 47, 44 are isolating at home and three are in the hospital.

The Department of Health says 1,539 individuals have recovered and 101 individuals have died from the virus.

To date, 83,332 people have been tested.

Wednesday, September 16

Just 40 of the 1,679 positive cases of COVID-19 Niagara County has seen are still active.

The county reported another case of the virus on Wednesday morning.

So far, 1,538 people have recovered since the pandemic started, but 101 others have died.

More than 82,000 people have been tested for the virus.
