Niagara County reports two additional COVID deaths, no new positive cases

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Tuesday, July 28

Niagara County health officials tell News 4 there are two new coronavirus deaths in the county, bringing the total to 98.

The latest individuals to die from COVID are a 86-year-old woman and a 75-year-old woman, both with underlying health conditions.

On another note, the Niagara County Department of Health is reporting no new positive cases today, which means the total number of cases in the county stands at 1,420.

There are 31 active cases, with four individuals in the hospital at this time.

According to officials, 1,291 have recovered and more than 50,000 people have been tested.

Monday, July 27

Another 13 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Niagara County since Friday morning, bringing the total to 1,420.

53 cases are still active, but 1,271 people have recovered. Another 96 have died.

Four people in the county are currently hospitalized because of the coronavirus.

A total of 49,674 people in the county have been tested.
