NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVB) — Niagara County has 65 confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to the latest data from the map showing test results by county.

54 coronavirus-positive people are currently isolated. 39 of them are at home, while the remaining 15 are hospitalized.

11 people have recovered from the virus.

A total of 84 people are in quarantine. 92 have completed their quarantine.

“It affects all ages, the key is for people who are younger, thinking that they’re fine just because they don’t have symptoms,” Niagara County Public Health Director Daniel Stapleton said. “They could have it and transfer it to an older person. So that’s really something we’re concerned about the most.”

The last report showed 56. County officials say public nurses will be working with those who tested positive.

Currently, there are 83,712 positive cases of coronavirus in New York.
